Here's my progress so far . . . this cardigan knits up fast! Once I knit the yoke, I knit the sleeves down to the ribbing before moving onto the body in case I ran out of yarn. That way...

@Kim Doherty-Smith I ripped it and am casting on again with fewer stitches. I really liked the fabric my gauge created so rather than swatch I'm just "dancing" with the yarn. It is a shawl as you say.
@Kim Doherty-Smith Even more interesting. Yes, I also weave as I go rather than twisting. Could it be because the design is actually Scandanavian and the Scottish technique is not as effective??? L...
@Shari Elliott can you post a pic? I don't even remember this colour!
@Elizabeth Fritz That looks so cozy. I have to admit, Gloaming is my favourite colourway . . . it reminds me of sunflowers :)
@Brenda Solanki That's how I normally do it as well. But I think it's not working in this case, with this pattern. The catching of the floats is also part of the story... twisting versus weaving. I...
@Brenda Solanki Yes, Brenda, sometimes just better to let the project sit for a little while before making a decision. You're right - it is just a shawl (as far as size goes), but we have a local c...
@Shari Elliott Ooohhh - 2 different strands of Kidsilk haze colours! That's exactly what we love about stranding, the possibilities are endless. If you haven't checked out the latest Episode of Fru...
@Stephanie Weisner This is such a beautiful combination. It was not something I would have normally thought of myself, but when you put it together in the store, I thought: Wowza! Just the perfect ...
I am hoping to knit this as well. I just need to decide on colours. I used the Signature Aran to knit Carbeth in a colour called Coral Reef and I loved it. The dye was one that is no longer availab...
Look, I admit it: I am starting this topic to show off the 'Sunwalker' shawl I made with F&H's Gloaming Fingering Fleece (and a touch of Other Yarn because I ran out). This took well over 1200 ...
Well, I'm never gonna look at a spud the same way again!
I'm really looking forward to this on the next episode. I learned my colourwork technique from Anne Bourgeois of Philosopher's Wool..basically working with yarn in two hands, continental and throwi...
@Iris Linkletter I've learned to be careful what I'm eating or drinking while watching these two tell their stories! I stick to plain water now!
Hi Jennifer, Kim Well, the gauge monster turned on me last night! As I was working my beautiful Rowan shawl in the cotton and mohair/silk, I thought it was starting to look awfully big. Turns out,...
I picked up my yarn for a Sunday Cardigan this weekend . . . Signature Aran in Gale and Kidsilk Haze in Shadow. I didn't swatch because I like to live dangerously, but I am alternating skeins...
@Starr Cookson That would be a great project for the Neon sock kit!
SWATCH UPDATE: I am about to start another swatch. I have watched a couple of videos on different styles of colour work and how each of the styles handles yarn holding and floats. Will share the re...
Just for the record...I laughed out loud at the Joke. I had a mouth full of blueberries and cream for my breakfast and then Jim told the joke and I had blueberry/cream coming out of my nose. ...
