Finished first hat. First time knitting in the round for a wearable "garment."
@Celeste Walker Sweet!
Cockatoo Brae from Yokes in the suggested colours. Body done on machine. Very colour corrected, because my camera hates green.
Cockatoo Brea is such a sweet pattern. Great job!
Tea Jenny hat + mittens. I used leftover bits of Reywa yak down yarn from my stash. As I still had yarn left after the hat, I improv'd the mittens.
"The Observatory" shawl from "The West Highland Way" using more leftover stash bits. This time Fleece & Harmony Eldon Lace in Autumn Birch & Amethyst Broach. I added a few beads on each point & did an I-cord bind off.
Altnafeadh gauntlets with the last of the Fleece & Harmony Eldon Lace in Autumn Birch & Amethyst Broach + a bit of Isager Tvinni. I didn't have enough yarn for the full length gauntlets, but they do actually make it just under halfway up my forearm.
@Michele Dillon Very nice!
@Michele Dillon It's lovely. Gotta luv that Autumn Birch!
@Michele Dillon Wow - great job on stash busting Michele!
With apologies to Kate for completely ignoring her color suggestions & for making a few minor pattern changes, this is the "Northmavine Hap." Super fun! More stash busting. This is made with "Queensland Collection" Llama Lace Melange baby llama in natural brown.
It's lovely. I love how you have styled it as well - really shows off the pattern by creating that "panel" in the front. Great job!
My Knowe out of the ever so gorgeous Belle River DK in hydrangea and Cascade Sport. What a fun and addictive project...just another chart row....just another knit row...really just another band.
More stash busting - some hand handspun yarn this time to complete "Hap for Harriet." Another fun project.
@Michele Dillon Another great looking project Michele!
@Rita Y Nice Rita! A customer brought her completed Knowe into the store to show me yesterday. It's a great little project. She also found it really fun to knit.
Again with apologies to Kate for the color changes... this my (un)Puffin sweater. As I'm in the hot-flash stage of life now (so fun), I can no longer wear pullovers made of wool. So this is made with Euroflax, 100% linen yarn. Another super fun project & super comfy sweater. This is my final entry for this kal. Thank you Kim it's been a lot of fun, & thank you Kate for your great designs!
This Oa sweater was my first steek & was a satisfying month-long knit (other than that) using Scheepjes cotton & Full Moon fibres suri (since I can't wear wool).
