Sandy Shores Poncho

Designed using Eldon Lace yarn. Any yarn substitution may not achieve the desired result or fit.

Sizes One size. This generous poncho is simply two large rectangles joined to create a shoulder hugging poncho. 

Materials  5 skeins Eldon Lace 2 - 80g skeins - border colour Slate – BC.  1 - 80g skeins each - A, B, and C. (Amethyst Brooch, Vineyard and Autumn Birch). 

6 mm circular needle with 40” cable or size to get gauge 

6.5 mm needle (for binding off) 

6.5 mm crochet hook (for cast on if desired) 

tapestry needle 

8 locking stitch markers (2 each of 4 colours) 

Note: It will be helpful to wind each skein of colours A, B and C, and one skein of BC into two equal balls for marling. 

Gauge 

The recommended gauge is 15 stitches and 22 rows over 4 inches in stockinette stitch. Achieving the correct gauge is important for the neck and shoulders to fit properly.
