Brookwater Farms, owned by Vicki and Harry Elsinga (and daughters Madison & Makayla) is located in central PEI. They have between 175 -200 registered Rideau Arcott ewes. Rideau Arcotts are a very prolific breed with 80% or more having triplets and higher! These are some hard working sheep! Vicki and Harry's wool has a lovely natural lustre and softness, which is not necessarily something Arcotts are known for, but it is certainly appreciated!
Brookwater follows all the best health and welfare practices in raising their sheep, and use forage based feeding for health and excellent body condition, which means excellent wool (no breaking!).
Brookwater is primarily breeding stock operation, providing seed stock for new entrants to the sheep market or folks wishing to upgrade or expand. Their Rams are selected from the best of the breed across Canada with excellent health status.
